Soil as witness | Memory as wound was Apnavi Makanji's first solo show at TARQ. In this exhibition, Makanji presented a series of installations that used a variety of site specific soil as their core medium. The exhibition also included several watercolour works, and revolved around ideas of memory and home, with a broader horizon that touched migration, identity and human constructs of nature. The accompanying catalogue for this show featured an essay written by Dr. Faisal Devji.
