In the series, ‘Everyday Rossana’(2018), the immediacy of time and place takes over with the artist’s experiments with a type - writer and movements and gatherings of friends and acquaintances in unknown private spaces. The work that explores the format of a flip book narrative was born during the 2018 SqW: Lab fellowship. The artist’s home takes on an almost graphic look of a video game, where two dots represent the movement of two people in a space over a period of time. The movement of these dots explores the thresholds of boundaries and the time frames they take to expand in the familiarity of space. Explorations of comfort spill into studies of permissions, conversations, habits and relationship dynamics in plots and corners. The abstract mapping of these movements connects back with the shifting idea of space appropriation and merging with minimal lines. In a space where the concept of time and relationships are at the forefront, the architectural details are almost inconsequential in the drawing of a folly perfection.
