Winner of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award ,Tanmoy Samanta’s work is exciting and impelling to look it. It has a philosophical depth in it that can take us back in time to the perplexities of everyday life.
Catch him live at a walk-through and discussion with poet, art critic, and curator of the exhibition, Ranjit Hoskote. Together they will be discussing Tanmoy's unique style of work that features gouache painting on rice paper and recycled book sculptures and the use desaturated color along with texture that often brings in a sense of rich nostalgia in the ordinary.
