The view is inspired from near the artist's print studio, which is far from the normal city life, where once the sun sets everything is black and dark. There are no city lights and this is the reality of nature at nightfall, it’s dark but beautiful.
This set of black and white etching prints allow Soghra to simplify her thought process seen here through the created lines that are formed as her imagination grows. The work itself is a juxtaposition of her memory and her surroundings.
Individually, they are forms of different paths, agricultural land, scratches on land, heavy clouds, and thick mountains. These forms remind Soghra of nature, its continuous lifecycle as well as its rarely noticed dark side of existence. Through the series of works she mostly shares her thoughts on growth, life and hope.Exhibitions
