In her two recent works from ‘As time goes by’ (2019), the artist plays with the idea of displacement and multiple association of time. Incorporating these details as a possible intervention, the context of myth builds its way into the work and the history of the place straddles with the visual concept of time as space. Access to document these spaces was restricted, and recording details became a game of spying past doormen and opening up access to missing information and denied spaces through their representation in blank drawn rooms that become space follies.
From the essay 'Folly Measures', written by Veeranganakumari Solanki, 2020.
