'Madre' is Savia's response to the singular universal feminine energy, the Yoni, which is independent of the Ling, its masculine counterpart. Deriving its black color from the reduction firing supported by the iron oxide present in the clay body, its rugged cotton rag edges are an illusion of the strong decisive movement of a convulsing textile, that has been arrested mid way.
