The 'Liminal Entity' series by Savia captures the feeling of transition in a sculptural form. Hues of color through ceramic tints like pink and green which result in these soothing pastel shades, and rust from other found objects finds its way here as well. ‘Liminality’, which itself means ‘being situated at a sensory threshold’ as well as ‘relating to being in an intermediate phase’, finds its home in the texture of these works skillfully obtained through firing and refiring.
