These are the photographs of three sites. It is believed that Saju's ancestors escaped from North Malabar to the Central Kerala during the period of Tipu's battle march. So this is the place where they settled first. The location of the house is same, but in modern times some alterations has been made, however the main structure remains the same.
This one is a home created by the coming generations, which situated in the nearby area of the first settlement. The structure does not exist now, only the site remains with accumulated debris. This was closely connected with Saju, because a significant part of his childhood was spent here. The objects which are there in the art work 'Personal objects' and the material Red oxide floor pieces are collected from here.
These sites are the repository of memories and stories also the sources of objects and materials. Saju has done brass inlay in this work, which divides the photograph in to several pieces. Even though the structures gives strong memories and emotions they are in disintegrated condition.
