Zeenat Kulavoor is a Mumbai-based typographer and graphic designer who occasionally dabbles in illustration. She is also an Arabic calligrapher working with the script for over eight years. Her work is inspired by shapes and forms and the meaning they hold.

She studied the Arabic script before graduating from the Sir J.J Institute of Applied Arts. Her understanding of the script and her application of the same in graphic design has been used for a line of home interior products called 'Mughal Pop’ by Mozez Singh for the Good Earth chain of stores. She has designed the film title for ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist', directed by Mira Nair, in collaboration with Design Temple. Zeenat recently combined her interest in printmaking and love for Arabic calligraphy into a handmade series of 20 unique serigraphs called 'Hubb' (Arabic for love).

She has been working with Bombay Duck Designs, an independent studio, since 2011 and has used her graphic design skills on projects involving the branding/identity of NH7 Weekender 2011-2015; and The Coalition — Festival of Creativity, among others. She has been an integral part of the design and development of all self-published books and illustrated zines from Bombay Duck Designs.
